Accessibility of the premises
The main entrance of the library is equipped with a ramp. Access is possible with an accompanying person; in case of need, please contact the staff. There is an elevator accessible to wheelchair users (door width 90 cm). Inside the library, there is a restroom equipped for disabled persons on each floor (2 restrooms open to the public in total). Normally, these restrooms are reserved for library cardholders, but people with disabilities can use them without a card. The building is free of architectural barriers, and there are several safe areas on each floor, located between two fire-resistant doors (REI), for the temporary shelter of wheelchair users in case of evacuation.
Accessibility of services and collections
4 internet stations: 2 in the children’s and teens’ room and 1 on the second floor for adults. The library website complies with WCAG 2.0 (Level AA) accessibility standards. Collections of audiobooks for blind and visually impaired persons, large print books, and books with easy-to-read fonts for adults and children with learning disabilities (DSA).
